Adult Sunday School Classes
Class-ICS - The Class-ICS (Class in Christian Service) meet in the Cordie Page Family Life Center. Although membership consists primarily of senior citizens, all persons regardless of age are welcome. We select our own studies and cover a number of subjects such as books of the Bible, people of the Bible, Christian author’s study books and tapes related to Scripture. The format is discussion, rather that lecture. Our offerings help support church related missions such as CAP.
Faith - The Faith Class meets in Trinity’s parlor and frequently welcomes singles and couples, but those of any age are invited for our lively discussions. We select small group studies such as An Ordinary Day with Jesus and Seizing the Moments and actively support various mission projects.
JOY Class – The Joy Class ( Jesus first, Others second, Yourself third) meets on the second floor of the education building and was formed more than 30 years ago. With couples and singles, we use the International Adult Lesson Series, as well as other varied resources for lessons. We support several mission projects including CAP, Meals on Wheels and Kairos Prison Ministry. We reach out to each member of our class and to others in need while providing support for the ministries and programs of the church.
Ladies’ Fellowship –We are group of mature adult ladies offers friendship, fellowship and opportunity for service, as well as dedicated worship, prayer and study. We meet in Trinity’s chapel, are led by four class members and use the International Adult Bible Lessons. Our mission projects include CAP, the Salvation Army, the Horry County Shelter Home, the Salvation Army Boys and Girls Club, Meals on Wheels, Epworth Children’s Home and various missionary support. We are also busy with many service projects that afford the class the opportunity to support Trinity’s programs. Service to one another is also important.
Ladies’ Seekers -The Ladies Seekers Class is a spirit-filled, therapeutic environment for women of all ages. We meet on the second floor of the education building and our mission is to help those who are in need. We explore the Bible through various small group studies and discussion. One of our strengths is the support class members give to each other, as well as to Trinity and the community. The Ladies Seekers frequently provide meals for various groups, and the Cordie Page kitchen is an ongoing service project.
Master’s Class -The Master’s Class consists of couples and singles, is always open to visitors and meets on the second floor of the education building. Class members may volunteer to teach the lessons from such sources as the International Adult Bible Lessons or Standard Lesson Commentary. Through teaching ourselves, we learn and study together. We place a high emphasis on community service, both financially and through class projects, in order to demonstrate our compassion and commitment to God, Trinity and our community.
Men’s Fellowship -The Trinity Men’s Fellowship Class is open to men of all ages and meets in the chapel. Lessons are from the International Adult Bible series. We awards an annual scholarship to a worthy nursing student at Horry-Georgetown Technical College and supports other programs such as the Salvation Army, CAP and the Horry County Shelter Home.
United Methodist Men
Servant
leadership, as modeled by Jesus Christ, is set forth as the goal for which we
strive as United Methodist Men. We invite every man to begin the journey with
us, as we become servant leaders together.
Becoming
servant leaders is a spiritual journey. We work diligently, knowing we will
never arrive at our destination in this life. Servant leaders put others first.
Humility and service are key traits we will develop. Servant leaders are made,
not born. We need God as our guide and partner to become a servant leader.
The United
Methodist Men of Trinity meet the third Monday of each month during the school
year at 6:30 pm in the Fellowship Hall. Meetings include dinner.
United Methodist Women
The organized unit of United Methodist Women is a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ, to develop a creative, supportive fellowship and to expand the concepts of mission through participation in the Global Ministries of the church.
The different groups of United Methodist Women are called circles and meet during the school year for fellowship and study. On the first Monday of the month at 7 p.m., both the Betty Goldfinch Circle the Friendship Circle meet at the homes of the various circle members or in Trinity’s parlor. The Bunnie Butler Circle meets the first Tuesday morning of each month in the church parlor at 9:30 a.m. and the Sunshine Circle meets the second Sunday at 4 p.m. at the homes of circle members.
